Den meetings are usually weekly at the home of the Den Leader, the Waitsfield United Church or an activity location.
Scouting is a great self-instruction as well a social program. Scouts learn (and have fun) by themselves, with each other, and by adult instruction. While Boy Scouts aged 11-16 are setting out from the family, Cub Scouting involves the family. Advancement, meetings, and fun events are all family-oriented. Parents are not welcome- they are expected! And parents get to learn to be “Scout Leaders”. Great fun, and great example for your kids.
